The nature of university education has changed.  With classes being online, it is harder for students to meet classmates and build the friendships which will define their university experience.  So we created Kaku: a social media app exclusive to university students.  Kaku connects students together by placing them into group chats based on their degree and courses. The app also allows users to share photos and follow classmate profiles to strengthen these friendships.

Kaku is currently exclusive to Queen’s with a rapidly growing user base. The company plans to expand to other Canadian universities.
